Frequently Asked Questions

Things to know about visiting the farm, meeting the herd, and shopping our store.

Visiting the Farm

When are you open?

We are open year-round! For specific days and times available, select a date on the booking form for available times. We usually have morning, noon and afternoon tours unless the farm is closed for a 'work' day or other necessary reason. If a specific time does not suit you, please call for special arrangements.

Is the farm wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Our main facilities and the primary areas where we host the Alpaca Adventure are wheelchair accessible. If you have specific mobility concerns, please give us a quick call or note them in the "Special Requests" box when booking so we can accommodate you as best we can.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, all Alpaca Adventures must be requested and confirmed in advance to ensure we have dedicated staff available to give you the best possible experience.

Do I Need to Purchase a Ticket for My Child 3 and Under?

They are free! We ask that you include them on the booking form so we know who is coming.

Can I Bring Food and Drinks to the Farm?

You can bring them, but no food, candy or gum is allowed on the farm tour. Drinks are allowed in the barn, but not in the pasture areas. After your tour, you are welcome to enjoy the farm outside of the barn and fenced areas for a picnic lunch. We do not provide refreshments.

Can I Bring My Dog to the Farm?

We love dogs, but unfortunately we do not allow pets on the farm due to safety concerns. The farm has other animals other than alpaca, including a dog or two.

What Methods of Payment do you Accept?

The booking form will accept credit/debit cards. The farm store accepts credit/debit cards, Venmo, and cash.

Can we take senior pictures or professional family photos at the farm?

Absolutely! Our farm provides a beautiful, rustic backdrop and our alpacas make fantastic, fuzzy co-stars. We offer dedicated Photography Sessions where you can bring your own photographer. You can book a time slot on our Visit page.

The Alpacas

Can we pet and feed the alpacas?

Absolutely! Hands-on interaction and feeding the herd are major parts of the Alpaca Adventure. We will provide safe, farm-approved food for you to offer them.

Do alpacas spit?

While alpacas *can* spit, they generally save it for communicating with each other (usually to say "Back off, that's my food!"). It is very rare for an alpaca to spit at a human unless they feel extremely threatened.

The Farm Store

Can I buy items online without taking a tour?

Yes, our online Farm Store is open to everyone! You can add items to your cart and check out securely anytime.

Are your products made from your own alpacas?

Some of our items are made using the incredibly soft fleece sheared directly from our own herd. We are working on having more locally produced products, but until then, most of our alpaca store items are not made here at the farm.

Legal & Policies

A Quick Note on Safety

This is a working farm! Make sure to follow all rules at all times! If a guest is not following the rules, we will ask you to leave the animal area. This is for the safety of your party and our animals.
